Alan Minthorn is the Saco City Councilor representing Ward 5 since he was elected back in 2015 over an 11-term councilor.

His priorities have been and continue to be reducing the tax burden, developing a smart growth strategy, and investing in our school system.

In his time at City Hall, Alan has fought to create an open, accessible, and accountable government with a strong focus on fiscal responsibility and a new approach to tackling issues the city faces.

He has been a Saco resident since 2003, when he and his family decided they needed a family oriented community with great schools, local shopping, close proximity to airports and beaches, and a strong healthcare business environment for career opportunities.
